The company has been operating for more than 15 years and is based in Melbourne, Australia. It is unique in its high level of professionalism, ethical standards and depth of experience and skills.

The current principals are Robert White, who founded AMPACE, and Sue Pratt. They have worked together since 1995, providing counselling services in Camberwell, Glen Iris, South Yarra and the City. They offer access to safe, high quality, caring and responsive counselling.

AMPACE PEOPLE
Robert White has worked in counselling and psychology for 18 years. He is a registered psychologist, a member of the Australian Psychological Society and a member of the College of Counselling Psychologists. He has completed a Masters degree and Diploma of Solution Focused Hypnosis and is currently enrolled for his Doctorate with Monash University.

Robert has worked in a variety of situations including Pentridge Prison, Texas Medical Centre (Houston, Texas), community employment programs for the long-term unemployed, clinical pastoral education programs, management supervision and relationship counselling. He is committed to providing opportunities for people to change and develop new understandings of themselves and their environments.

“Therapy for me has a psychosocial foundation, assisting people to live their potential,” Robert says. “I have training and a broad interest in theory from Jungian psychology, Gestalt, cognitive/behavioural therapy, family therapy, and mediation.”

Sue Pratt is a registered psychologist, a member of the Australian Psychological Society and a member of the College of Counselling Psychologists.

Sue has extensive experience and skills in counselling with a special interest in themes related to our own experience of being in relationships with others personally and professionally. This has lead to being involved in themes within counselling such as anxiety, depression, loss and grief, sexuality, conflict, anger and assertiveness issues, couples counselling, individuation issues and personal development.

Sue believes therapy and counselling is a place and a time to be heard and understood. "It can bring new aspects of your self and your experience into awareness."

Qualifications:
